Top 5 Younique makeup must haves

Younique is a brand that has been a part of my life over the last 2 years or so. Many of you like me probably first came across them through a friend or a friend of a friend, maybe somebody who started selling on behalf of the brand? In my case it was a lady called Yvonne,  the neighbour of my best friend Michelle. I had a small gathering *cough cough party* at my house one night and we organised a sample party, Younique call them Share Parties.

Yvonne came over and let us sample a few of their products I ended up buying a set of brushes and I haven’t looked back….2 years later and I’ve probably gone through about 10-20 different products and although I wouldn’t call myself an expert, I constantly get asked for advice from friends, colleagues, friends of friends, strangers…the LOT. To be honest the constant questions I get prompted me to get involved in creating a Younique makeup product guide and more specifically write this article.

Now although I’ve been through quite a few Younique makeup products it by no means makes me a complete lover, I have my staples, the things I LOVE, but there are also a few things I wouldn’t touch again. So this article forms a part of my Younique makeup project – a comprehensive review, not just the good, but also the ugly. In this article I cover my top 5 Younique makeup must haves, the things I can’t live without and absolutely swear by.

However most people always talk about the positives. Personally that isn’t me, I believe that a dish is also best served cold and I believe that for anyone to get a real understanding of something you must have some knowledge of the other side of the coin. In this scenario it’s understanding the Younique Makeup products I bought that I wouldn’t buy again, the mishaps, unpleasant experiences the lot. So in my other article I cover my top 5 Younique makeup Not have’s. The 5 products I wouldn’t recommend.

So without further a do, here are my top 5 Younique makeup desert island must have’s. I’m talking wouldn’t walk out of the house without!

#5 Younique Makeup Lucrative Lip Gloss – Moodstruck Minerals (Loveable)

Lucrative Lip Gloss Set of 10 by Younique makeup

So I’m not much of an everyday lipstick kinda girl, I save lipstick for extra special occasions (that’s just how I am), however I LOVE my lip gloss and Loveable is definitely one of my everyday LOVEs. One of the first things you will notice is the little mirror on the tube, just perfect for those outdoor no mirror in sight moments. That first application lasts a while too and when you’re puckering up it doesn’t leave too much residue on your other half.

#4 Younique Makeup Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette 2 Cool with Shades of Black and Silver

Ok so as you will see from the rest of my list, when it comes to Younique makeup products I’m pretty much all eyes, I dedicate most of my cosmetic purchases to my eyes too. Why? Because your eyes are the window to your soul…so when someone’s looking at them you need to make sure that they look extra special and in line with what you’re wearing on the inside and out! Plus Younique makeup have a good range of cost effective eye products.

The Younique Makeup Moodstuck Addiction Shadow palette 2 cool with shades to of Black and silver does the job, the only reason it isn’t another another place further up on my list is purely down to my colour taste. When I wear this palette the first thing I can say is how long it lasts, it practically lasts the whole day and doesn’t need a top up, I always get comments on my eyes and it comes off easily. I use Garnier Makeup remover to remove my eye makeup and it works a treat even with the darker shades which have put me off with other products in the past.

#3 Younique Makeup Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette 3 Cool with Shades of Pink and Purple

As I mentioned above the Younique makeup Addiction Shadow pallette 3 with shades of pink and purple makes it to number 3 on my list purely down to colour taste. I personally love colour, I love to match my eyes to what I wear and this does the job, as mentioned above it doesn’t come off easily and lasts ages. You don’t need to put loads on either, a modest amount is adequate.

The Younique makeup Moonstruck Precision Pencil – Perfect is my staple, I love pencils. Before I discovered the Younique makeup Perfect pencil I would never be able to I leave home without my pencil. Why? Because I would always, always need to top up at various points throughout the day. Perfect lasts all day and no matter the weather (wind rain or shine) if doesn’t come off. It is as the name suggests…Perfect!

Ok it’s time to reveal my number 1 fave Younique product and this wasn’t tough. I revealed to you all earlier that my eyes are my beaus and on of the part I’m most dedicated to cosmetically…

#1 Younique Makeup 3D Fiber Mascara+

*DRUM ROLL* So…number 1 has to go to the Younique makeup 3D Fiber Mascara. This stuff is AWESOME, I feel it literally adds layers to my eye lashes every time i use it and you can hardly notice that you’ve got anything on, it just makes my eyes light up. Again you don’t need much, a couple of strokes and you’re done. It’s also very easy to remove, one again I usually use the Garnier Makeup remover to remove my makeup and it is extremely effective and it doesn’t leave any marks.

Overall my Younique makeup loves mainly cover eye makeup, which I think is their strong point. I have another article which I’ll be releasing next week that goes through the MUST NOT BUY Younique products which you should definitely read if you’re after a comprehensive GOOD, BAD, UGLY overview. I will also be creating an overview of a number of different cosmetic brands including my experience with them in the future.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my reveal, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share it with others and leave your comments below!
